  • March 1 – 31: Project FeederWatch continues

  • March 8: Daylight Savings Time – Spring Forward
  • March 8: The planet Saturn is closest to Earth
  • March 20: Vernal Equinox – almost equal amounts of day and night
  • March 14: 9th Annual Eagle Festival at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. The refuge's observation floor is a WBU Pathways to Nature program site and funded by a percentage of each WBU customer's purchases.
  • Crows begin nesting. 
  • Dogwood and Cherry Trees begin to bloom.
  • Ospreys begin looking for nest sites in mid-March.
  • Prepare and install boxes for cavity-nesting birds.
  • Peak of spring waterfowl migration
